SUPPORT
How many water bottles fit inside the frame?
230x65 for 170mm travel. A 230x60 shock can be used to reduce the travel to 160. We like the pedaling performance so much at 170mm travel that we spec'd it with the longer stroke for more rowdy descents. We did not find any downside to pedaling the bike with the longer travel compared to the shorter travel.
Can I use a coil shock on the La Sal?
Yes, the suspension design works well with a coil shock. Most coil shocks available on the market fit the La Sal Peak. M8x30 shock mounting hardware is used to help with clearance and also allow for the option of roller bearing mounting kits.
How many water bottles fit inside the frame?
All sizes can fit one water bottle inside the front triangle frame and another beneath.
What length dropper post will fit inside the frame?
With our uninterrupted seat tube design, even the small frame has enough insertion depth to use a 200+mm dropper. This is inseam/saddle height dependent to fit the rider.
What is the bottom bracket frame spec?
73mm English thread. Our philosophy is simple, if the bike is intended to be ridden in the dirt, it gets a threaded bottom bracket. Threaded bottom brackets are easier to service.
Can I run a chain guide or bash guard on my La Sal?
The La Sal incorporates ISCG-05 mounts for chain guides or bash guards that can be added at checkout, or purchased later on your own. Just be sure your chain guide is ISCG-05 and Boost 148 chainline compatible.
What frame extras are included with the La Sal Peak?
Custom molded chainstay, downtube, and shuttle pad protector are included with each bike and frameset.
What is the biggest tire size the La Sal Peak can accommodate?
29x2.6 rear. Front is suspension fork dependent (most will also fit 29x2.6).
Is the La Sal Peak compatible with a mullet setup?
Yes, the La Sal likes to party. Mullet approved. If you decide to run a mullet setup on the La Sal we suggest running the bike with the GA link chip in the high position. We have also had good luck with changing the fork to 180mm travel, though 170mm still works.
What considerations have been made for maintenance with internal routing?
The La Sal uses tube-in-tube cable routing for easy assembly and maintenance and a quiet ride.
What about remote shock lockouts?
While the current specs don’t include remote rear shock lockouts, the frame has cable ports to be able to run a cable actuated remote rear shock lockout.
What are the head tube dimensions?
ZS44/ZS56. This is your standard 1 ⅛” to 1.5” tapered headtube with alloy cups pressed into the frame.
What is the recommended fork length?
We build the La Sal with 170mm forks, but since we have tested the La Sal beyond DH requirements, you’re free to bump up to 180 or even throw on a dual crown fork (190mm or 203mm) and get extra gnarly. This does change the head tube angle and BB height slightly, roughly 0.3 degrees for each 10mm of axle to crown height change.
What are the dimensions of the rear hub and axle?
Hub: 148x12mm - Axle: 174x12x1.0mm
What type of derailleur hanger does the La Sal use?
The La Sal features the SRAM Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH). We chose this derailleur hanger for simplicity, reliability, and performance. In the event of an impact to your rear derailleur, the derailleur hanger will bend away and can help protect the frame and derailleur from damage. Spare UDH hangers can be purchased directly from Fezzari.com.
What seat tube diameter and seat tube clamp diameter does the La Sal use?
The La Sal fits 31.6mm seatposts and uses a 34.9mm clamp.
What bearings are used in La Sal’s rear suspension pivots?
The La Sal Peak uses high quality sealed ball bearings. There are 4x 6900 bearings in the seatstay, 2x6901 bearings in the rocker and 2x 6902 bearings in the main pivot. Fezzari has these available as spare parts. To increase the life of your bearings, regularly cleaning and maintaining your bike will have these bearings running for a very long time.
Why does the small look different from other sizes?
We want riders of all sizes to experience the full benefit of the La Sal Peak. We reworked each frame size so there are some aesthetic changes per size, but the kinematics remain consistent. This ensures that—regardless of height and size—everyone enjoys the same performance and handling.
What is the warranty/guarantee?
All Fezzari bikes have a limited lifetime warranty. The La Sal also comes with a Love it or Return it guarantee.
How will my new La Sal Peak arrive to me?
All Fezzari bikes go through our 23-Point Custom Setup making sure the bike is fit and tuned specifically to you. They are test-ridden before delivery. If your bike is shipped to you, it’s still tuned and ready to ride and requires just a couple of minutes of assembly.
What about service?
You can work directly with us, or work through one of our recommended shops, or work through your favorite shop.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, at checkout there are several options available for financing.
How long will it take to arrive?
Estimated lead times are listed on each model at checkout. Lead times may vary a little based on current conditions and availability.
