Frameset Options

The Timp Peak features a full carbon frame (including front and rear triangles and shock link) that offers a lightweight and stiff platform for high-performance riding - all backed by our Lifetime Warranty. The use of carbon allows Fezzari to manipulate tubing shapes, control stiffness, and tune desired flex.

Powerful Riding

Timp Peak is equipped with a Shimano EP8 motor that has been custom tuned to unlock the full 85 Nm of functional torque. The Timp Peak's custom tuning profile amplifies the rider's natural power output.

Faster, Farther, Funner

Designed to take you up and down the steepest trails, get more laps on your favorite technical loops, and let you explore more remote terrain than you could on a traditional analog bike.

Explore Everything Range

Timp Peak allows you to explore for hours on one charge. Whether you want to boost mode your lunch ride or explore a new trail system, Timp Peak is ready to launch you up into the mountains.

Spec’d for Real Life Use

Every spec comes with the most capable components needed for a long travel E-bike. Top shelf suspension, premium wheels, reliable groupset and powerful brakes work together to elevate the ride experience at every build level. Out of the box, Timp Peak is ready to rip.

Proprietary Rail System

Our modular rail system enables the battery to sit at the lowest possible position. This results in a low center of gravity that improves traction and suspension performance. With a low center of gravity, Timp Peak has a light cockpit for great steering and handling.

Go ahead, take it for a spin.

Optimal Design

The Timp Peak is equipped with the perfect battery size to give you optimal range without sacrificing performance.

Love ❤️ this bike

I bought my TEMP PEAK as a back up bike to my Transition Repeater but after dialing in the suspension & riding it. I haven’t touched the other bike. The suspension is smooth & responses amazing. Best bike I’ve ever bought and I’ve owned a lot of bikes. It’s light & loves it in the air. It has one of the longest wheelbase but is still nibble as heck. The trails I ride are tight and I have no problem throwing this bike around corners. I learned to use the power of the Shimano EP8 motor to power around the corners. Awesome job ARI on engineering an excellent well balanced emtb.

High Expectation

I've been looking at getting an eMtb for almost 3 years. After looking at pretty much everything on the market I pulled the trigger on the Timp Peak Team spec. My expectations were very high. After ordering the Timp Peak I got the chance to demo 2 eMtbs at my local bike park. I didn't like either of them. One felt like riding a motorcycle and the other was really harsh on drops and jumps, and sounded terrible going over rough stuff. I started to worry that I wouldn't' like any eMtb and I would end up sending my Timp Peak back. After receiving and setting up the bike from Ari yesterday, I did 21 miles of riding on my local trials and I'm in love. It feels great going down and makes going up fun as well. It feels, and sounds, solid. The way the motor adds power to your pedaling makes it feel like the hills are just not that steep, not like riding a dirt bike. I thought my expectation were too high and I would be let down, but the bike impressed.

WOW

I jumped on and immediately felt confident on the bike, even though my suspension still needs work. Great geo and fit and can’t wait for a La Sal!

Common Questions*

Do you offer financing?

Yes, at checkout there are several options available for financing.

Who is this bike for?

A Timp Peak owner would typically be an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys off-road biking but also appreciates the added assistance an electric motor provides, especially for tackling challenging terrains and steep inclines. This individual might be looking for a blend of adventure and accessibility, allowing them to explore more rugged trails and natural settings without the same level of physical exertion required by traditional analog mountain bikes. For those seaking even more weight savings, check out the Ari Nebo Peak Electric MTB.

How long will it take to arrive?

Estimated lead times are listed under each model's size in the bike builder. Times may vary a little based on current conditions, frame size, color, and availability.

How far can I ride?

Ah, the age old question. The range of your Timp Peak depends on several factors including: assist mode use, rider weight, terrain, ambient temperature, and rider input. In our testing, we regularly achieved 5000+ vertical climbing feet and 20-30 miles using a mix of all assist modes. With less climbing or more rider input, 40-60 miles can be achieved. That’s a BIG day on a bike! Get after it!

What is the Timp Peak frame made of?

The Timp Peak features a CleanCast™ carbon fiber frame. The front triangle, seat stay, chain stay, and rocker link are all made of carbon. What does that mean? Simply put, a carbon frame provides the perfect blend of stiffness, light weight, and lively riding characteristics.

How fast will the Timp Peak go? Does it have a throttle? What class of e-bike is the Timp Peak?

The Timp Peak is a Class 1 e-bike. This means it will provide assistance up to 20mph in the USA and 25kph in the EU. It does not have a throttle and only provides assistance when the rider is pedaling. However, just like a non-assisted bike, your own leg power or gravity will allow the bike to move faster than the assisted limit.

Can I charge the battery on and off the bike?

Yes, the integrated charging port on the left side of the bike near the drive unit allows for the battery to be charged on the bike. If you would like to charge the battery off the bike, you can easily remove the battery from the bike and charge it using the off-bike charging adapter (available separately). The battery must be charged at temperatures between 32F-113F. Charging outside of this window is potentially hazardous and may cause the battery to malfunction.

Will the battery be charged when the bike arrives?

The batteries on all our e-bikes are shipped in a ‘deep sleep’ mode and will have about 20%-30% charge when they arrive. Before your first ride, the battery should be fully charged. The initial charge from ‘deep sleep’ to full could take up to 24 hours as the battery’s individual cell charges are equalized. After that, it should only take 5-6 hours for a full charge.

Are the electronic components waterproof?

All the electronic components (drive unit, battery, displays, switches, etc.) are water resistant. Washing the bike with a low-pressure hose, riding through small puddles, and riding in the rain are all activities the electronics are prepared for. That said, submerging the system under water or using high pressure water to wash the bike could allow water ingress and damage the electronic components and should be avoided.

What is the tire clearance on the frame?

The frame will clear 29 x 2.6 or 27.5 x 2.8 tires. Tire clearance around the fork is specified by the fork manufacturer, but typically 29 x 2.8 and 27.5 x 3.0 tires will fit.

What adjustments can be made to the Shimano EP8 drive unit?

The highly tunable Shimano EP8 drive unit has two customizable riding profiles. Profile 1 is a more natural feeling and efficient power mode. Profile 2 is the full power mode for maximum output with minimum rider input. The drive unit output harmoniously syncs with rider input for a powerful, natural feeling when riding. If you would like to learn more, you can watch our Shimano EP8 Motor Guide.

What is the battery capacity?

The Timp Peak can fit either a 504wh or 635wh battery. If you would like to increase the capacity, a second battery can be carried in a backpack during your ride and swapped out in about 30 seconds. You can purchase a spare battery at checkout.

What geometry adjustments does the Timp Peak have?

The suspension linkage features a 2-position GA-Link. This provides a high and low geometry setting. We recommend the low position for a dual 29er set-up and the high position for a mixed wheel set-up (29er front, 27.5 rear). If you would like a little more pedaling clearance or more agile handling, the high position can also be used for a dual 29er set-up. Along with the GA-Link, the Timp Peak’s ZS56/ZS56 headtube allows for the use of both reach and angle adjust headsets to modify the handling and cockpit positioning to your specific needs.

How long does it take to charge the battery?

A full charge will take about 5-6 hours using the provided 4 Amp smart charger. (Note: The initial charge could take up to 24 hours as the battery comes out of the ‘deep sleep’ mode it was shipped in.)

How long will the battery last?

Like all lithium-ion batteries, the Timp Peak battery has a usable, non-infinite lifetime. The battery is rated to maintain at least 60% of its capacity after 1000 full charge-discharge cycles. For the average rider riding 2-3 days a week, we would expect to see about a 5% capacity loss every year.

What charge level and temperature should I store the battery at?

For storage time less than 30 days, the battery can be stored at 100% charge at a temperature between 14F-113F. For storage times longer than 30 days, the battery should be discharged to ~70% prior to storage and kept at temperature between 14F-95F. Every 6-months, the battery should be fully charged (and then discharged to ~70% if stored for longer than 30-days again).

Does the battery have theft protection?

Yes. The battery is locked into the frame with an Abus lock. You will receive two keys with the bike that allow you to easily remove the battery from the frame.

Which shocks are compatible with the Timp Peak?

Both air and coil shocks work well on the Timp Peak. The Timp Peak uses a 230 x 65mm shock with M8 x 30mm hardware on both eyelets (making it bearing compatible). Shocks from Fox, RockShox, DVO, and EXT have been custom-tuned to fit. If you have questions about a shock fitment, please contact us.

Can the Timp Peak Carry a Water Bottle?

Yes, a water bottle fits inside the front triangle on every size. We have tested the following bottle capacities to fit on the Timp Peak frame: Small: 12oz (350mL) with side entry cage or FidLock Twist 450 with inverted mount. Medium: 12oz (350mL) with side entry cage or FidLock Twist 450 with inverted mount. Large: 21oz (620mL) with dual entry cage. Extra Large: 21oz (620mL) with dual entry cage.

What about service?

You can work directly with us, one of our recommended shops, or work through your local shop.

What is the guarantee?

It comes with a 30 Day Love it or Return it Guarantee.

How will it arrive?

All Ari bikes go through our 23-Point Custom Setup making sure the bike is fit and tuned specifically to you. They are test-ridden before delivery. If your bike is shipped to you, it’s still tuned and ready to ride and requires just a few minutes of assembly.

What is the warranty?

Each frame comes with a Lifetime Warranty. Ari branded frames come with a transferable warranty as well.

How does transferable warranty on Ari bikes work?

Ari branded frames come with a transferable frame warranty available to the second owner. The second owner can receive a one-year frame warranty from the date they purchase the bike from the original owner. Warranty only transfers once. All Ari bikes must have the transfer documented from the original owner to the new owner at www.aribikes.com/pages/register in order to qualify for a transferable warranty.
